Finally they’ve come out with a ‘new’ model rather than just an updated GTR. For those not in the know, the Ultima GTR was basically a kit car (or think something like SSC that made the Ultimate Aero) that was actually comparable to the supercars of its day. I remember it holding the 0-100-0 record at one point. Jon Olsson had a crazy bodied one reminiscent of the audi R18.

Now they have the Ultima RS which seems to keep trying to improve on the previous car and looks more livable. Except has an option to have 1200 bhp...

Have some dubstep:

Saw one with a BMW i6 in it for a race somewhere. Must have been a glorious drive

Fun fact, these were used as test beds for the McLaren F1.  They bought 2 and put a Chavy 454 Big Block in one in front if the McLaren F1 transmission to test its durability.  Later they put the BMW V12 in another to test and tune the engine on the road.

We will not sell the Ultima RS supercar to any individuals who seek to install a different type of engine, to protect and safeguard our brand identity, purity and engineering excellence of our mar que. The Ultima RS is comprehensively designed and engineered around the Chevrolet LS and LT engine installation, with a no compromise approach.

Kinja'd!!!

You’re a kit car manufacturer. You don’t sell the engine. Kinda hard to stop this from happening.

Woooow. wow. I missed this. This makes me not want to buy one and I would actually put a chevy in it.

As well as being pure and blisteringly fast, it’s also ideal for touring in comfort.

Is it though?

I like it. I hope it does well.

Chavy engines are the best.
